IN THE STEPS OF APOSTLE PAUL

1st DAY -  THESSALONIKI

Αrrival  in Thessaloniki .Transfer  and accommodation in  the  hotel .After the accommodation  departure  for the sightseeing  tour of  the  city  . Overnight  in  the  hotel

2n DAY - THESSALONIKI

Drive to Kavala, Greece’s loveliest mainland port with the most elegant harbor. Saint Paul landed here with his disciples, Timothy & Silas. Luke, the Evangelist, came here from Troas. Continue to Philippi where Saint Paul preached his first evangelical sermon and baptized the first Christians on European soil. Return to Thessaloniki  for overnight.

3rd DAY – KALAMBAKA

After breakfast   city tour of the city. Continue to visit the ancient site of Veria (Berea of Acts 17) a modern shrine which commemorates Paul’s visit. Continue to Vergina for a visit to one of the most important sites in Northern Greece. End the day with a visit to Katerini and the Byzantine Saint Katherine Church. Continuation of the trip  to Kalambaka for overnight.

4th DAY - DELPHI

After breakfast visit  of  Meteora  the  world famous Byzantine monasteries perch , precariously on summits of gray rock pinnacles of varied and beautiful shapes. The gigantic rocks are weathered by years of erosion, each one standing unique and alone in space, some over 1000 feet high. The history of the inhabitation of these rock pillars goes back to the 14th century when monks sought refuge in Cliffside caves, then fled higher to build the original wooden shelters later transformed into monasteries After lunch  drive through Trikala, Lamia and Amphissa. Stop for a quick visit in Thermopiles. Arrive Delphi  the center of  the world as believed by ancient  Greeks , overnight.

5th DAY - ATHENS

After breakfast  visit the famous Archaeological Museum where, among other treasures, you will see the unique 5th century B.C. bronze charioteer. Depart for the Ossios Loukas Monastery and see St. Luke and the Church of the Virgin two Byzantine churches located inside of the Monastery. Then drive to Athens  ,accommodation , overnight.

6th DAY - ATHENS - CORINTH

In the morning departure for the sightseeing tour of Athens,visiting  Panathenaic Stadium where the first Olympic Games of modern times were held in 1896 (short stop).Continue and pass by the Prime Minister's residence (ex Royal Palace) guarded by the Euzones in their colorful uniform, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, the Hadrian's Arch, the Parliament and the memorial to the Unknown Soldier, the Academy, the University, the National Library, the Constitution Square (Syntagma).On the Acropolis visit the Architectural Masterpieces of the Golden Age of Athens: The Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion and finally "the harmony between material and spirit", the monument that "puts order in the mind", the Parthenon.

After the  tour departure  to ancient Corinth a  driveto  South West until   the Corinth Canal which connects the Aegean Sea with the Ionian Sea (short stop).Drive on and visit the ancient town of Corinth where St. Paul lived and preached for two years. The remains of the City, which include the Agora (market place) and Apollo's Temple (6th century B.C.) clearly show how rich and important Corinth was in Ancient Times.A short stop at the Site of the Ancient Port of Cehries, where St. Paul disembarked, will conclude the visit. Return to  Athens , overnight

7th DAY ATHENS

After the breakfast  transfer to the airpot  return  home
